Artificial intelligence tools are rapidly changing how professionals search for and apply to jobs, but misuse or overreliance can undermine credibility and success. This session will provide practical guidance on how industrial hygiene and EHS professionals can ethically and effectively use AI to support their job search, from tailoring resumes and cover letters to preparing for interviews and evaluating job postings. Designed for students, early-career, and mid-career professionals navigating competitive job markets, the session will cover best practices, common pitfalls, and clear dos and don’ts to ensure AI is used as a career accelerator rather than a liability.

Presenters will review an incident-based scenario and a data-driven scenario; highlighting situations that require foresight and risk prioritization, as well as data interpretation and action planning.
