This program is intended for early career and other career professionals in industrial hygiene and environmental health and safety. As industrial hygienists and EH&S professionals, our primary goal is to protect employees and ensure safe working environments. However, true success also requires us to communicate the business value of safety—showing how proactive measures lead to cost savings, a stronger bottom line, and a solid return on investment. We will discuss strategies to increase business acumen for early career professionals.
Evolving Roles in Industrial Hygiene: Finding Your Path

Presenters: Mora
McPherson, MPH; Kyle
E. DeGennaro; William
Nichols, CIH, CHMM, CSP; Douglas
Pastore, CIH
This program
is intended to assist industrial hygienists who currently have a job or those
who are just entering industrial hygiene but are looking to shift within
the field. The field is constantly evolving and innovating.
While there used to be many jobs with the title of industrial hygienist,
these are now fewer and farther between. This discussion will explore traditional

titles that can include industrial hygiene. This presentation will focus
on different paths and routes one could follow to work in the industrial hygiene
field.
