Contribute to building the educational content for AIHA Connect 2027 by serving as a technical reviewer. AIHA is seeking active committee members to serve as PDC and/or Education Program reviewers. The deadline to apply is August 24, 2026. 
 

Purpose

A technical reviewer serves as a subject matter expert, reviewing education proposal submissions to ensure they are scientifically sound, innovative, and relevant to the profession.

The technical review process occurs before the reviews by the Continuing Education Committee (CEC) and Conference Program Committee (CPC). Technical reviewers' feedback assists these committees in selecting the final AIHA Connect 2027 education program. The review process is blind; submitters' personal information is not shared.
 

Time Commitment

Technical reviewers must review submissions online between September 14-28, 2026. The time commitment, per proposal, is approximately 15-20 minutes and will vary based on the number of submissions received in each topic area. Most topics will have five (5) to ten (10) proposals, while more popular topics could have as many as 50-80 reviews to complete. The exact number of proposals per reviewer is not known until after the submission deadline of September 9, 2026.

Deadlines

Each AIHA Volunteer Group is asked to email the names and emails of four reviewers from their group to serve as reviewers (two for PDCs and two for the education program). The same two volunteers may review both PDCs and education sessions. This is the minimum number needed; more may volunteer to review, if desired.

Reviewers are not required to attend AIHA Connect 2027 but must be current, active AIHA committee members.

If volunteer names are not submitted, the committee leadership (Chair and Vice Chair) will be assigned automatically to review on behalf of their committee.
