Process for Technical Reviewers

First you will log in to the online system. Please note this login is THE SAME as your regular AIHA member login.

After logging into the review site, utilize the proper review instructions below to assist you in answering the review questions for your assigned proposals.

All reviews must be completed by September 29, 2023.

Purpose

A technical reviewer serves as the subject matter expert and reviews submissions to ensure they are scientifically sound, innovative, and relevant to the profession.

The technical review process occurs prior to the reviews of the Continuing Education Committee and Conference Program Committee and assists the committees in selecting the final 2024 education program. The review process is blind, and no submitter information is shared.

Time Commitment

The review is completed entirely online from September 18-29, 2023. The time commitment, per proposal, is approximately 15-20 minutes and will vary based on the number of submissions received in each topic area. Most topics will have five (5) to ten (10) proposals, while more popular topics, could have as many as 50-100 reviews to complete. The exact number of proposals you will review is not known until the submission deadline, September 13, has passed. As a volunteer, plan your schedule accordingly with time set aside for review during the entire review period of September 18-29, 2023.
